Accutherm International believes the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions should not be seen as a cost to business, but is something all businesses should factor into every investment decision. There must be an environmental price society pays for using irreplaceable natural resources and producing waste emissions at ever increasing levels. Part of this price looks to be global warming.

Australia has been spoilt compared to many other countries. Having abundant natural resources and relatively cheap energy combined with clean air and plenty of wide open space has resulted in a lower emphasis on industrial burner efficiency, energy saving systems and greenhouse gas emissions than other countries.

With several years of record droughts, water restrictions, hotter than average summers and extended bushfire seasons Australians are focusing more and more on climate change. Australian governments, businesses and individuals are wanting to know what all of us can do to reduce greenhouse gases and help the environment.

It is commonly accepted that burner systems which are correctly sized and well maintained are more efficient and as a result use less energy. Over the long term well maintained and efficient burner systems are generally cheaper to run and produce less green house gases.

More efficient and well designed burners and associated combustion control systems are often more expensive to purchase especially where they are more complex or have a higher engineering or materials content.

Accutherm’s experience is that in the long term energy savings will generally cover the extra cost of the initial system many times over. Unfortunately most businesses do not factor in energy savings or the long term environmental impact of new burners and burner control systems into their purchasing decision models.

This is starting to change. As individuals and as a society we can no longer ignore the environmental impact of purchasing and installing a burner system by only looking at the up front cost. All burners by their very nature produce significant quantities of greenhouse gas and this should be taken into account in pricing.

Accutherm International has world leading burners for both process and package burner applications. Our strategic partners in low NOx emissions, burner efficiency, energy reduction and greenhouse gas reduction are two of the world’s most respected burner companies. Eclipse from the USA who are world wide leaders in industrial and process burner solutions and the Italian based Riello Burners who are the largest package burner company in the world.

Australian industry can benefit from years of R&D and practical environmental emissions experience from North America and Europe. In many instances there is no need to reinvent the wheel as we look for greener manufacturing and heating solutions for business. We can use overseas experience and existing solutions in conjunction with Australian practicality.

Accutherm specializes in the integration of overseas burner technology into the Australian and New Zealand marketplace. Our gas regulation and burner control systems are designed to meet Australian standards and to ensure that the gas supply to our clients burners is safe, efficient and cost effective. We also offer specialist heat recovery systems such as recuperative burners, heat exchangers and recuperators.

To complement Accutherm’s greener burner range and burner control systems we also sell and support digital test equipment and instrumentation to measure burner emissions and to help keep burners better tuned.

Our digital test equipment range by Test Products International (TPI) includes Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors and monitors, combustible gas detectors, combustion analysers, flue gas testers, pressure manometers, refrigeration leak detectors, clamp-on meters, multi meters, thermometers and many others digital testing tools.

In order to save energy and gas it is necessary to measure and monitor gas usage. To this end Accutherm has an extensive range of gas meters designed for commercial gas use and industral gas applications. Gas meters form an integral part of gas energy monitoring systems and will assist in carbon credits systems.

Greener burner solutions from Accutherm will help your business reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and make our environment better for our children and future generations on our wonderful planet.
